Commend Intercom Solutions, including Intercom over IP and Help Point Systems, provide very secure, private communications with high volume, high quality hands free speech and unmatched reliability.
The most important aspects of the Commend system are:
-
the modular nature of the hardware,
-
the variety and ease of configuring the functionality provided,
-
the provision of high volume, high quality speech,
-
the quality of it's design and build,
-
the proprietary nature of its protocols, and
-
the ability to interface with other systems to provide a seamless, integrated whole.
Consequently systems have a long life with reliability and quality of performance second to none. Any required expansion and/or change in functionality can be achieved easily, in a most cost effective manner with very little down time of the original system.
At the system core is the Commend Intercom Server, which holds the motherboard and controlling configurable software.
The Commend Intercom Server is populated, depending upon the requirements of the system, with a variety of optional modular PCBs which:
-
provide the intelligence to and links with outlying Control Desks, Masters and Speech Units (slaves)
-
networking capabilities
-
bespoke programming capabilities
-
electronic links to third party systems
-
multiple input/output contacts for providing signals to/from other devises.
Commend Intercom Servers can be networked in such a way that systems can be extended from site to site and from country to country to create private, secure communication systems, which behave as one and can be reconfigured and controlled from any part of the system.
The ability to:
- Provide anything from Simplex to Full Duplex hands free operation with a high level of speech quality (currently 16kHz) and very loud (up to 100 dB) clear audibility, even using standard speech units in very noisy environments
- Make pre-defined group calls and all calls and the ability to create and join conference calls very easily
- Control any internal or external access points to the premise(s) covered
- Interface at high and low level, with any other system including access control, CCTV, fire and intruder alarms, BMS, recoding devices , music sources, PA etc. thus forming an integrated whole and allowing control of all functions
- Interface with any other means of communication including the telephone network (including GSM and GPRS), mobile radio etc. thus allowing call transfers to be made manually or automatically either when no one answers or at specified times, with bi-directional functionality
- Network systems over copper, IP Networks, both Intranet (LAN) and internet (WAN), so that multiple systems, wherever they are located in the world are identified and maintained as one system from any location
- Provide automatic messaging or functionality when calls are made or inputs and/or outputs are triggered
- Transfer functionality around a system at predetermined times and/or using triggers
- Adapt the system using the special programmable card (V24PRO) so that very specialist applications can be devised to suit a customers very particular requirements
- Provide a sophisticated Graphic User Interface (COMWIN), which allows the control of a system with a PC / touch screen using a comprehensive graphical representation of the premises covered and full logging of calls and other activity on the system
- Security systems with sophisticated voice call management and networking
- Door and barrier entry and control
- Help Points and Information Points, both passive and interactive
- Lift Voice Communications
- Emergency Voice Communication
- Disabled Refuge and Toilet Communications
- Prison and Police Cell Communications with special appropriate functionality such as mobile phone detection.
- Through-Glass Communications with specially enhanced performance
-
- Commend UK has successfully completed the supply of Disabled Evacuation and Refuge Intercom system to Brunel University. The system is fully compliant with the requirements of the Disabilities Discrimination Act (DDA) BS5839 part 9 and BS5588 Part 8
-
- NCP Car Parks, operate as both isolated car parks and as networked solutions. The latest development is seeing all of the car parks being networked over IP to a central intercom server located within the London Docklands
-
- Installation and networking of Public Address equipment and Help Points around the Town Centre
